Frank
Busemann
Our guest speaker at this year’s evening forum on November 15 was former decathlete and athletics expert. Frank Busemann
Today, he continues to pursue his passion for sports as a motivational expert and co-host on the German TV channel ARD. We held this year’s event at the VinoToRium in Oberkirch. Frank Busemann shared tips with the guests on how to motivate themselves to achieve their professional and personal goals.
One of the evening’s key messages was that, in order to truly succeed at anything you set out to do, you must get started within the next 72 hours. The athlete spoke about his achievements, such as winning the silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, thereby achieving a major goal. At the same time, in addition to his sporting successes, he has had to cope with many health setbacks, yet he consciously set new goals for himself time and again. Nevertheless, he emphasized that he was lucky to be paid for his hobby.
Busemann is now a father himself, and his own father was always a great source of support and a role model when he was a coach. Following his talk, Frank Busemann took time to answer personal questions from the invited guests during a get-together with wines from the Oberkirch vintner and catering company Drechsler
